چکیده

This work deals with the problem of automatically choosing the correct exposure (or integration) time for timeof-flight depth image capturing. We apply methods known from high dynamic range imaging to combine depth images taken with differing integration times in order to produce high quality depth maps. We evaluate the quality of these depth maps by comparing the performance in reconstruction of planar textured patches and in the 3D reconstruction of an indoor scene. Our solution is fast enough to capture the images at interactive frame rates and also flexible to deal with any amount of exposures.

Abnormality Detection in a Landing Operation Using Hidden Markov Model

The air transport industry is seeking to manage risks in air travels. Its main objective is to detect abnormal behaviors in various flight conditions. The current methods have some limitations and are based on studying the risks and measuring the effective parameters. These parameters do not remove the dependency of a flight process on the time and human decisions. In this paper, we used an HMM...

Adaptive Fusion of Inertial Navigation System and Tracking Radar Data

Against the range-dependent accuracy of the tracking radar measurements including range, elevation and bearing angles, a new hybrid adaptive Kalman filter is proposed to enhance the performance of the radar aided strapdown inertial navigation system (INS/Radar). This filter involves the concept of residual-based adaptive estimation and adaptive fading Kalman filter and tunes dynamically the fil...

A Survey on Time-of-Flight Stereo Fusion

Due to the demand for depth maps of higher quality than possible with a single depth imaging technique today, there has been an increasing interest in the combination of different depth sensors to produce a “super-camera” that is more than the sum of the individual parts. In this survey paper, we give an overview over methods for the fusion of Time-of-Flight (ToF) and passive stereo data as wel...

Fusion of Time of Flight Camera Point Clouds

Recent time of flight cameras deliver range images (2.5D) in realtime, and can be considered as a significant improvement when compared to conventional (2D) cameras. However, the range map produced has only a limited extent, and suffers from occlusions. In this paper, we investigate fusion methods for partially overlapping range images, aiming to address the issues of lateral field of view exte...

SPECT-CT fusion in the diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism

Objective(s): In this study, we aimed to analyze the relationship between the diagnostic ability of fused single photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) images in localization of parathyroid lesions and the size of adenomas or hyperplastic glands. Methods: Five patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) and 4 patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) we...
